URINE INFECTION (UTI )


 A urinary tract infection (UTI) occurs

When bacteria infect the urinary system, including the kidneys, bladder, or urethra. Common symptoms include:

1. Frequent urination

2. Burning sensation while urinating

3. Cloudy or strong-smelling urine

4. Lower abdominal pain or pressure

5. Fever or chills

CAUSES:



- Bacteria (often _E. coli_) entering the urinary tract.

- Poor hygiene, sexual activity, or urinary tract abnormalities.


TREATMENT:



- Antibiotics prescribed by a doctor.

- Drinking plenty of water to flush out bacteria.

- Cranberry juice may help prevent( UTI ).


WHEN TO SEE A DOCTOR:

- Symptoms persist or worsen.


 FEVER, BACK PAIN, OR BLOOD IN URINE.

1. FREQUENT URINATION 

Frequent urination can be caused by various factors, including:


¹.  Urinary Tract Infections (UTI ): 

Bacterial infections in the bladder or kidneys.

².  Diabetes: 

High blood sugar levels can increase urine production.

³.  Overactive Bladder: 

A condition where the bladder muscles contract too often.

⁴.  Pregnancy: 

Pressure on the bladder from the growing uterus.

⁵.  Certain Medications: 

Diuretics or other medications that increase urine production.

⁶.  Bladder Stones or Tumors: 

Abnormal growths or mineral deposits in the bladder.


2. BURNING SENSATION 

A burning sensation while urinating can be caused by:


¹. Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): 

Bacterial infections in the bladder or urethra.

². Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI):

 Such as chlamydia or gonorrhea.

³. Irritation or Inflammation: 

From soaps, lotions, or certain foods.

⁴. Kidney Stones: 

Small mineral deposits that can cause pain.

⁵. Interstitial Cystitis: 

A chronic condition causing bladder pain.

3. CLOUDY OR STRONG -              SMELLING URINE

Cloudy or strong-smelling urine can be caused by:


¹. Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): 

Bacteria can cause cloudiness or strong odors.

². Dehydration: 

Concentrated urine can appear cloudy or smell stronger.

³. Diet: 

Certain foods like asparagus or beets can change urine odor.

⁴. Kidney Stones or Infections: 

Can cause changes in urine appearance or smell.

⁵. Medications or Supplements: 

Some can alter urine color or odor.

4. LOWER ABDOMINAL                

               PAIN OR PRESSURE 

Lower abdominal pain or pressure 

can be caused by:


¹. Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): 

Infections in the bladder or kidneys.

². Bladder Issues: 

Overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, or bladder stones.

³. Gynecological Conditions: 

Menstrual cramps, ovarian cysts, or endometriosis.

⁵. Digestive Issues: 

Constipation, IBS, or diverticulitis.

⁵. Pregnancy: 

Pressure on the bladder or pelvic area.


5. FEVER OR CHILLS

Fever or chills can be symptoms of:


¹. Urinary Tract Infections (UTI): 

Kidney infections (pyelonephritis) can cause fever and chills.

². Infections: 

Such as pneumonia, flu, or other viral/bacterial infections.

³. Inflammatory Conditions: 

Like appendicitis or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
